Paul Auster's Works

Paul Auster has written two memoirs:

In 1982, Auster published "The Invention of Solitude", a two part memoir. The first part chronicles his discoveries about his father's identity after his death. The second part is a personal memoir, almost completely comprised of self reflection.

In 1997, Auster published his first memoir, "Hand to Mouth", a chronological telling of his long struggle to be a writer for a living.
